DEAR ALUMNI, FRIENDS, & STUDENTS,
On August 22 we welcomed our incoming classes! It was amazing to stand at the entrance to the College of Business and Economics and witness the level of excitement with which they greeted us. Some of the students were freshmen coming in for the first time to our College, and we want to welcome them and wish them a great journey at B&E. They represent the first class in our new four-year college system, whereby students are directly admitted as freshmen. Other students were those admitted as juniors under the previous system and, while they have had a taste of B&E, we wish to extend them a warm welcome as well.
In addition to the new students, we are happy to greet many new faculty who have chosen to join us in our pursuit of "Better, Bigger, Ranked." We wish you great success at WVU and want to welcome you to the B&E family.
As you read on, you will also learn more about our recent organizational changes, some of the visitors who graced us with their presence from all over the world and an update on our 60th Anniversary Celebration. Our B&E at 60 Speaker Series this fall will bring speakers who have a lot to say about business and about leadership --- do not miss them.
Regards,
Jose V. Sartarelli, Ph.D.
